I'm Sorry, Prime Minister
From:07-07-2026
To:11-07-2026
+ More Info +

From the BAFTA Award-winning co-creator of Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister, Jonathan Lynn, comes the long-awaited final chapter of British political satire - and it is as cunning, cutting, and catastrophically funny as ever.

Jim Hacker (Simon Rouse) is back - older, but perhaps not wiser, and still utterly baffled by the real world. Hoping for a quiet retirement at the tranquil Hacker College, Oxford, Jim instead finds himself facing the ultimate modern crisis: cancelled by the college committee.

Enter the delightfully devious Sir Humphrey Appleby (Clive Francis) who has lost none of his love for bureaucracy, Latin phrases, and well-timed obstruction.

Can Humphrey outmanoeuvre the meddling students, the Fellowship, and reality itself?

Or is it finally time to say, "I’m Sorry, Prime Minister..."?

Brimming with razor-sharp wit, nostalgic brilliance, and more double-speak than a press briefing, this is political comedy at its most timeless - and timely.

Book now for a night of laughter, legacy, and one last glorious round of red tape, I’m Sorry, Prime Minister.

Trainspotting The Musical
From:09-11-2026
To:14-11-2026
+ More Info +

Renton, Sick Boy, Begbie, Spud, Tommy, and Kelly, the industrial drug-crazed working-class heroes, are back.

In 1996, CHOOSE LIFE sounded like a challenge. Thirty years on, the landscape has shifted, but the hunger hasn’t. Addiction hasn’t disappeared - it’s shifted. It’s quieter now, more embedded. Less needle, more screen. Less escape, more repetition. The same restless search for something to fill the space.

The musical highlights the world we see changing around us, the obscene concentration of wealth, economic and political power in the hands of so few people. It addresses the modern culture of powerlessness. Art the singing-and-dancing Trojan horse that delivers direction and relevance.

This isn’t nostalgia, it’s closer than that. The past isn’t revisited - it lingers. The musical doesn’t tidy it. It sits with it. Listens to it. And lets it sing. New songs, classic songs, a musical like never before. Not for the easily confronted. It’s funny, loud, dynamic, and brings a dark dangerous energy never experienced before on the West End stage.

I believe the musical has a bigger, loudly beating human heart than either the book or the film. People need to think about the world we’re living in, and we offer that inspection, but they also really need to sing their hearts out and laugh their heads off - it’s what being human is all about.” Irvine Welsh, April 2026

There are no clean answers here. Only incredible music and flashes of clarity, humour, and the uneasy sense of recognition.

CHOOSE LIFE.

The buildings that comprise the Grand Opera House York were not originally intended to be a theatre. The tall section was built as York’s Corn Exchange in 1868 and was meant to be used as a concert hall from time to time. The auditorium was originally a warehouse opening onto Kings Street. In 1902 after the Corn Exchange failed, the buildings were converted into the Grand Opera House by William Peacock. The theatre opened on January 20th 1902 with Little Red Riding Hood starring Florrie Ford. In 1903 the name became The Grand Opera House and Empire because new regulations banned smoking in serious theatre but allowed it in music hall type theatres and smoking was fashionable at the time.
